To extend the time your Blackberry phone rings before you answer on the O2 Ireland network, do the following:

Press green call button on your BlackBerry and enter the following:

**61*0865YourNumber**30#

Example if your mobile number was number 0861122333 you would enter **61*08651122333**30#

The 5 in the number means it will ring directly to your voice mailbox

Press the green call button and you should get a popup on phone saying call forwarding etc

The number 30 above determines the number of seconds the phone will ring for before it diverts to voicemail

One other point is to also make sure ring tone is a long ring tone as a short one will end before the 30 seconds etc, choose an mp3 or music file as an example.

  • MasterCard Launches MoneySend Service for BlackBerry
MasterCard has launched a free money transfer service app in App World that lets US citizens transfer money from person-to-person from their BlackBerry. The app works by allowing the user to send or request money via their BlackBerry through participating banks and credit unions or when they create a virtual prepaid account through Bancorp Bank. Users can then link their existing debit or credit cards or bank checking account to the new virtual prepaid account and begin sending money via their BlackBerry. The designated account funds the MoneySend transaction, and users can manage and trigger the exchanges through the app.

When you work for a company as large as RIM, a lot of patents get filed that aren't necessarily part of the company's business, but more part of its process. It's also a great way to keep an inflated legal department busy during a lull in leak season.
